The Importance of Looking Good When Training

There’s no doubt you’re training because you want to better yourself, so why wouldn’t that apply to all aspects of your identity, incuding appearance? Not that long ago, fitness fanatics would rarely even be thinking about how they look – it was as simple as shotting on a pair of big, roomy tracksuit bottoms and just getting on the treadmill. But lately, people in the gym are looking better than ever. From stylish fitness wear, to perfecting your form, gym enthusiasts have never looked better. These are a few of the reasons why to not only look good to impress everyone else in there, you need to impress yourself first.

Confidence

Being satisfied with how you look is a top tier feeling. All of a sudden, there’s nothing seems unreachable and no obstacle you can’t get through. During your workout, your muscles are getting toned and even a little bigger. You feel and look healthier, too. Endorphins are triggered, stress is relieved and you’re just buzzing. And it’s quite simple: when you look great, you feel great. Exercise is a massive boost to self-confidence, which eventually increases your motivation, too.

Motivation

Chilling in your baggiest fits isn’t exactly going to give you the push you need to get up and start breaking a sweat. Swapping them to trendy workout gear is going to bring your motivation back up. Imagine, you walk in the gym ready to give it your best shot. You start your workout and notice how toned you’re getting; your adrenaline starts running and you’ll feel like you’ve got all the energy in the world. It’s unbelievable that just an hour ago you were debating whether to skip it. One look in the mirror and give yourself a nod for absolutely smashing it, and you promise to yourself you’ll keep going (in your head, obviously). You’re motivated to keep at it because you’ll know you’re going to be back in that same position in a few weeks and look even better. So simple – the outfit that boosted your confidence led to a better performance, overall boosting your motivation too. Smashing it.
